Chatroom (1)

Postby admin » January 20th, 2011, 3:40 pm

I know it's not a real chat, but here you can discuss on a daily basis. Share your thoughts and pictures with the others regarding on your hobby (African violets and other gesneriads). I know there are many topics, but this one is not a specific one. You are free to chat here about anything. I created this topic, because there any many specific topics, for varietes, for Cultivation and so on, but there is no one for just chatting.

I start this topic, with my suprise. Rob's Pewter Bells is forming a flower bud. The plantlet itself is so little, I just wonder how will it bloom :)

It is better to tear the flower so the plant did not spend on him strength.

I know... I should remove it, but it's the first flower  . I just cannot remove the flower stem, it's so cute. There are 2 plantlets in the pot, the other one is much bigger compared to the little one.

Laci, it seems the little one has formed the bud! Really strange, I have never seen such a small baby to bloom.

Sometimes it can happen. I saw a picture which showed a rooting leaf. There were no leaves above the soil level, but it already opened a flower. I will try to find the picture for you :)

Here is my favourite! Confetti trail... I really like the flowers even it is not so breathtaking. Now I put its pot onto the windowsill, where it can receive enough light.

I wish I could show one of the pictures about this variety from the Hungarian forum. It's like a flower waterfall... I will try to look after the picture.

I've got it!

Laci, trailers - it's always very nice despite the simplicity of their flowers. A small drawback. ;) need a couple of years to the trailer showed her beauty.
