Chantaspring (R. P. Hair)

Chantaspring (R. P. Hair)

Postby florasandi » March 19th, 2012, 12:57 pm

Chantaspring (R. P. Hair) Creamy yellow bell sticktite single/darker yellow center. Compact emerald green, pointed foliage. Miniature trailer (User Database)

Newly arrived in my collection so is still a baby. I don't know if the flowers will get more yellow as the plant matures. To my untutored eye it looks more like a warm white. But it's still a very pretty little thing. happy03:

Here is the description from the catalogue:
"One of the elusive saintpaulias that has truly buttery-yellow flowers. This miniature variety shows tiny bells over very tiny, pointed, semitrailing foliage."

Mine is also rather white than yellow. It's not a great variety if you're looking for yellow, but anyway it has lovely shaped flowers.

This variety was selled in garden centers also. If I remember correctly I found this variety registered as a commercial variety sold by greenhouses. I was really surprised on that!

Thank you, this is one of my first named varieties. I got it from a collector here. I think it is almost 4 years old :-) I have it for 3 years.
