Hi from Italy

Postby marianna » October 26th, 2015, 7:29 pm

Hi,
My name is Marianna and I live in Florence.
I'm an amateur orchid grower, but since my growing conditions are very similar to AV needings, I decided to give them a try and last Year I bought two NOID trailing hybrids from England.
They did well, I think, so the AV virus took me. :violent
I'm particularly fond of AV species, which are not so easy to find on sale, but after some web researches I managed to buy some leaves of:
S. velutina
S. grotei confusa Mather Brother Paddy
S. orbicularis orbicularis purpurea
S. grandifolia
S. diplotricha
S. shumensis

And two beloved hybrids:
S. Chantaspring
S. Pixie Blue

Now leaves are still in the rooting phase in my orchidarium, but Pixie Blue has already done a little new leaf from the base of the petiole.
I hope that the others will do the same.

Thanks and seee you on the board.

Me for myself I don't breed orchids, but I buy orchids from a breeder. :D

Do you know "Schwerter Orchideenzucht"? Suplies to Europe! ;)
In 1926, the nursery was established. Now there'll cultivated on 3,000 m² constantly around 100,000 orchids natural forms and hybrids.
