Senk's Alchemy Parakeet (R. Follett/D. Senk)

Senk's Alchemy Parakeet (9843) 01/30/2008 (R. Follett/D. Senk) Double yellow star/variable light blue edge. Light green, pointed, serrated. Semiminiature trailer

We received a couple of leaves very late last year and we managed to get them to grow and produce small plantlets over the winter and now we have fine plants flowering. from the two leaves we originally received we have made 18 new plants and are busily trying to find good homes for them now, so we can add some new varieties. The flowers are double white with a very light blush of yellow/green on the outside petals.

If anyone would like a small plant please message us. Does anyone have any yellow African Violets that they would like to swap as we are very interested in the yellows?

I moved the topic to the correct place and corrigated the Title :)

This is a very lovely variety, actually it is a yellow one! The temperature could affect the color, so maybe it will be more yellow in winter.

Thank you for correcting us and moving the topic to its correct place in the forum - we will try harder next time. we will keep an eye on the flowers to see if they do turn more yellow

Gabi - we will put an Senk's Alchemy Parakeet plant aside for you - it needs a good home like yours.

Thanks

Although it's a trailer variety I like to keep it as a standard. I've seen that many people keep it like this. I think it doesn't make a nice "bush".
